TipTop had a female cria on 6/20/08. We named her Nellie and the following pictures were taken over a 2 hour period. Everything went well and both mom and baby are doing fine. Click a thumbnail to start slideshow.

Are there wild alpacas?
No. Alpacas have been domesticated for over five thousand years. Without the assistance of man, alpacas would not survive in the wilds. They lack defenses that would protect them from predators.
