Sept 2009

  • Our Annual September Open House went great and we would like to thank everyone that attended. Please stop back again! There were two highlights for our open house.
    One was the East Berlin 4H Fiber Club performing a Fleece to Shawl demonstration. Click To Enlarge.

         

    The second hightlight was that we had a cria born here on September 25th, one day before the open house and we let all the visitors suggest names for our new female cria. Our family combined our favorite suggestions (Twilight, Autumn Song, Autumn Rain. Autumn).   • My wife`s new rooster cock-a-doodled for the first time on 6.7.09 and she was just tickled pink

  • We got our hay down with the help of a local farmer named Rick Jones. Rick owns Rick`s Custom Baling and is a hard worker.

  • We went to a Seminar on 3/22 with Dr. Norm Evans. The seminar was very educational. If you get a chance to go to one of Dr. Evans` seminars you won`t be dissapointed!

  • Nellie of Big Mount takes 2nd place out of 12 alpacas in her class of juvenile medium/dark fawn females at the 2009 Virginia Classic show in Lexington, Virginia.
